Know More On The Tendai Doctrine

Tendai Budhhism is a descendant of the Chinese Tiantai school. This school of Buddhism, has some philosophical insights, which are common to both the Buddhist doctrine as well as certain aspects of Japanese cultures and tradition.

It emphasizes on the idea that the capability to attain enlightenment is inherent. This makes it similar to Mahayana Buddhism. Mahayana Buddhism also propagates the teaching that the world is an expression of Buddhist law or Dharma. This is again central to Tendai Buddhism as well. Tendai Buddhism propagates Lotus Sutra as the ultimate expression of Dharma.
