Communications from Mount Hiei

Words from the Founder, Master Dengyo Daishi:
(J) "Doushin no uchi ni Ejiki ari, Ejiki no uchi ni Doushin nashi"
"Within the Heart & Mind (intent upon trekking) the Path, food and shelter are to be found, yet within food and shelter, the Heart and Mind (intent upon trekking) the path is not to be found."Unless we lift up our own heart and mind, a prosperous life can't be had. What this tells us is that we all walk this Path and as such, are alive to trek this Path. Should we choose to enter into life with this feeling, our lives will take on a natural course of their own and bring us happiness.
